Polyurethane enamel UR-140
TC BY 500021625.120-2005
TYPE: the enamel is a two-component system consisting of an enamel semifinished product and a polyisocyanate hardening agent. Supplied as two components.
FIELD OF APPLICATION: the enamel is designed for painting primed or primed and covered with putty metal surfaces of different items, including large-sized items (railway wagons, fuel trucks, large-dimensioned automobile elements – vehicle platforms, trailers, etc.) For priming you can use the primes of GF, EP, PF and FL types. The recommended primers: GF-0119, EP-045, EP-045Ê, PF-031.
PROPERTIES: surfaces coated with the enamel have excellent decorative and protective properties if used under atmospheric conditions and indoors. They have higher resistance to petrol and oil action. The consumption rate for a one-layer coating is 70 to 150 g/m 2 and depends on the complexity of the painted surface, coating thickness and enamel color. The enamel film is resistant to temperature changes from -40°Ñ to +50°Ñ.

cracks, dust or dirt. The preparation of items to be painted is carried out in accordance with the TNLA (technical normative legal acts) requirements for the item or in compliance with GOST 9.402-80.
COATING APPLICATION: prior to application, the semifinished enamel should be thoroughly mixed. Then the hardening agent should be added in ratio 100 w.p. of semifinished enamel – 15 w.p. of the hardening agent. The blend should be thoroughly mixed and left for 15-30 minutes. The enamel is applied with a brush at package viscosity. In case of pneumatic spraying the enamel should be diluted to operating viscosity of 19-22 s (by the viscometer VZ-246, nozzle 4 mm) with the solvent R-189D (TC 2312-026-16952278). Then the enamel should be filtered through the sieve ¹ 01 (GOST 6613-86). The enamel is applied to prepared surfaces of items by pneumatic spraying in two layers using the “wet on wet” method with the drying for the first layer during 5-7 min. The thickness of the two-payer coating is 30-35 µm. The two-layer coating should be dried at temperature (20±2)°Ñ for 24 hours. The application time of the enamel diluted to the operating viscosity is no less than 3h, if it is kept in tightly closed containers at temperature (20±2)°Ñ. Before use the painted surface should be cured for 5 days.
SAFETY PRECAUTIONS: prevent water from getting in the semifinished enamel, the hardening agent and painting equipment. Keep the hardening agent away from spirits, amines, water and water solutions, moisture. While painting keep the room well-ventilated and after paintwork has been completed thoroughly air out the room. Keep away from fire! The guarantee period is 6 months from the date of manufacture.
